Speech and Language Therapy

Coaching

Narrative Therapy

  • Explore challenges using this non-blaming, non-pathologising therapeutic practice. Rooted in social constructionism, Narrative Therapy engages people in value-driven conversations, which make visible neglected stories and accounts of people’s lives and identity and brings to light the agency people have to reclaim or move towards preferences for living and preferred identity conclusions.

Narrative Therapy Supervision for SLTs and Vocal Performance Teachers

  • Develop de-centred but influential, ethical and relational practices

  • Make visible the social discourses that can have a ‘grip’ on your professional practice and identity, as well as your clients' lives, and how this influences ‘prescriptions for living’

  • Re-author professional identity for a preferred identity conclusion and open the doorway to other possibilities

Clinical Supervision - Voice

  • For Speech and Language Therapists working with paediatric voice conditions and functional neurological voice conditions

Clinics are available in Central London at Great Ormond Street Hospital for young people under 18, and in Watford, Hertfordshire for all ages. Therapy is also available online.

What to expect

  • Together with clients, Nicola explores their strengths and challenges, their preferred way of being and identifies goals for therapy, coaching and supervision to guide the development of a therapy, coaching programme or hopes for professional practice. The number and frequency of sessions will vary dependent on the complexity of the programme and context.

Nicola works in a collaborative, holistic, systemic way, including family and significant people for encouragement and support where appropriate.

Nicola combines Speech and Language Therapy practices, coaching narrative therapy and other psychological approaches that help people to achieve the goals and enhance their lives
